Our view of the service
We carried out this on-site, announced assessment on 20 August 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks and recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in Snittersfield, Stratford Upon Avon and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse and a practice manager who also worked as a receptionist. The practice had 1 treatment room. During the assessment we spoke with the dentist, dental nurse and the practice manager.
People's experience of this service
During our assessment, we spoke with 1 patient and received written feedback from 1 other patient. The patient we spoke with told us that they would highly recommend the practice and had done so to friends. Two weeks before our visit, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. 10 patients sent feedback, all of which was positive. Patient comments included: “ Friendly and professional advice throughout. Each procedure was explained to give me a better idea of any issues and how I can improve and maintain the health of my teeth”, “ My Dentist’s holistic view of mouth care is beyond anything I've experienced. Top class in every regard”, “ I was very nervous as I have not been to the dentist for a long time. They took things slowly, explained everything and inspired confidence”. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken. Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.
