During an assessment under our new approach
The provider ensured they delivered safe care to the people they supported. The care people received was assessed, planned for and reviewed. Individual risks to people were also managed safely. People were involved with this process.
Medicines were managed safely. Infection control was considered. The principles of the Mental Capacity Act were understood. People’s end-of-life wishes and plans had been considered. People were protected from potential abuse.
People were treated in a kind and caring way by staff they felt comfortable with and were safely recruited. Call times were delivered when needed by staff who knew people well and had the skills and training to provide safe and effective support.
There were systems in place to monitor quality of the service. Staff felt listened to and involved with the service.
