Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must within 45 days of this condition taking effect undertake a full review and evaluation of their quality assurance systems to ensure effective systems are in place at Bluebird Care Eastbourne and Wealden. As part of the review and evaluation, consideration must be made to the following:
the oversight of governance and management, to include, but not limited to:
The management of skin integrity for those at risk of pressure sores or skin breakdown
The management of accidents and incidents, to include robust processes to ensure monitoring and reporting of wounds, unexplained bruising, accidents and injuries.
monthly analysis of accidents and incidents
service user care planning and risk assessments
The management and oversight of safeguarding processes to ensure reporting to other agencies as required
Ensure all relevant documentation and records are stored safely and securely
Ensure robust provider oversight in the absence of a registered manager to ensure effective processes are being followed and ensure any areas identified in audits are actioned in a timely manner.
The management and oversight of staff meetings, supervision and training.
The registered provider must within 30 days of this condition taking effect, undertake a full effective auditing process to include all care plans and risk assessments for service users receiving care at Bluebird Care Eastbourne and Wealden. The audit must include details about how service users’ needs have been assessed and monitored in relation to:
The management of skin integrity for those at risk of pressure sores, monitoring of wounds, accidents, incidents and safeguarding. A report of the findings and associated actions from the monthly accident and incident audit, wound audit, care plan and risk assessment audit must be sent to the CQC on the last working day of every month after this condition takes effect.
The Registered Provider must within 30 days of this condition taking effect undertake a full review and analysis of governance and quality assurance processes used to identify risks in relation to safe planning and delivery of care. Also implement an effective system to ensure that governance of the service is maintained. This review and analysis must include actions that have been identified and actions taken to address any shortfalls found in relation to:
Clear management and oversight of all audits, including delegated tasks.
Staff meetings, supervision and training.
