The registered provider must within 28 days of this condition taking effect, devise and implement an effective system to ensure that all areas detailed below are reviewed, audited and analysed routinely. The system should show any learning and the audit process must ensure any risks identified have been assessed and mitigated:
a) Safeguarding and Whistleblowing training with evidence of how this is being embedded into day to day work.
b) Accident and incident analysis. Including trends, patterns and action taken.
c) Risk assessments for all individual risks for all people receiving support.
The registered provider must undertake the audits of these areas monthly thereafter, reporting their findings and actions from the audits to the Commission on the first Monday of every month.
Within 30 days of this notice taking effect, the registered provider must seek advice and support from a reputable organisation and/or company to ensure the following areas are documented and evidenced:
a) All staff, including the registered manager are aware and receive training in what their responsibilities are particularly in safeguarding and whistleblowing. This should include what professionals must be notified in response to various incidents.
b) Full oversight of the quality of care provided to all people in the community as well as people living in supported living settings.
c) A business improvement plan with timelines of action to be taken to drive improvement at the service
The registered provider must have oversight of all of these areas and provide a summary report monthly thereafter, reporting their findings and actions from the audits to the Commission on the first Monday of every month.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must ensure that the regulated activity personal care is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from all locations.
