We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 7 February 2025.
We found the practice had met all regulations.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance, and infection control procedures were in place.
Recruitment policies reflected current legislation and there was visible and accessible leadership.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Improvements should be made to the systems for the management of risks and staff training to ensure they are effective.
Norfolk House Dental Care Ltd is in the town of Gloucester, Gloucestershire and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people near the practice.
The practice had 6 treatment rooms. At the time of the assessment, the team consisted of 5 dentists, 2 dental hygienists; 1 dental therapist, 1 sedationist, 1 endodontist, 5 qualified dental nurses, 2 trainee dental nurses, 2 receptionists and a practice manager.
During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, 1 dental therapist, 1 dental hygienist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. The Compliance Manager for the group was also on site, supporting the practice on the day of assessment.
Staff feedback forms were shared with the team ahead of the assessment, giving staff an opportunity to confidentially share their views about the practice. We received 8 responses, which were considered as part of the assessment.
