Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Arbory Residential Home.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 60 service users at Arbory Residential Home.
The Registered Provider must undertake at Arbory Residential Home
a) A monthly audit of all service users’ assessments and care plans. The audit must identify that assessments and care plans are created with service users and/or their representative (if the service user lacks capacity), meets their needs and reflects their preferences.
b) A monthly audit of service users’ ability to consent to care and treatment. The audit must identify how the Mental Capacity Act 2005 is adhered to where a service user lacks mental capacity to make an informed decision or give consent. It must include a review of the information recorded in the mental capacity assessments and the best interest decisions and a review of the opinions of those consulted.
c) A monthly audit of risk management. The audit must include how risks have been assessed, monitored and mitigated in relation to service user’s health conditions, support needs and their environment.
d) A monthly audit of all service users medicine records, including their care plans, risk assessment, Medicine Administration Records and PRN protocols. The audit must identify any recording errors, administration errors and care plan/risk assessment/PRN protocol updates.
e) A monthly audit of staff deployment. The audit must identify that service user’s receive care and treatment in line with their assessed needs.
f) The registered provider must submit a report to the Care Quality Commission within 60 days of these conditions taking effect. The report must set out any actions to be taken at Arbory Residential Home, as a result of the audits and thereafter must send this report to the Care Quality Commission on the first Monday of each month. This report must specify timescales for action to be taken and highlight who is responsible to ensure the required improvements are made.
