Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.

Staff understood people’s rights and gave us examples of when people they supported faced discrimination where they had required staff to advocate for them. Staff received training in equality and diversity which enabled them to understand their responsibilities to ensure people were able to have equal experiences to people who could advocate for themselves.

Care plans showed consideration for ways equipment could be used or the environment adjusted to help support people’s protected characteristics.
