Date of assessment: On 23 October 2024 we carried out an unannounced assessment, off site assessment activity started 30 October 2024 and concluded 22 November 2024. We looked at 19 quality statements as part of the assessment. Mount Olivet Nursing Home is a nursing home that provides accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care for up to 30 people. At the time of our assessment, there were 20 people living at the service. The service specialises in providing care for people living with dementia.
At our last inspection in 2023, we rated the service requires improvement. We have found improvements at this assessment and the overall service has improved to good. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment. At this assessment, we reviewed the breaches identified at our last inspection on 5 April 2023. We found the service was no longer in breach of regulation in relation to safe care and treatment. However, we found a continued breach of regulation in relation to good governance and found a new breach of regulation in relation to consent to care and treatment.
