Governance, management and sustainability
The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. They used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. However, risks were not always identified or assessed. For example, windows had been restricted but not to current guidance so there was still a potential risk of people leaving the building unattended or falling from height. Following feedback, the provider ensured all windows were made safe.
The management team were visible and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. There were clear arrangements for accountability and improvement using a range of audits to monitor quality and identify areas that could be improved. Staff told us they felt the management team were organised and the service was well managed.
