Date of assessment: 26 November to 4 December 2024. This service registered with us on 29 December 2022 and this was their first assessment. Freedom Care 24/7 Ltd is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment there were 7 people using the service. Freedom Care 24/7 Ltd operates under the wider franchise group of Sylvian Care. We assessed all quality statements across the 5 key questions. People received person-centred care that met their needs. The service had a good learning culture and people, and their relatives, were encouraged to speak up and share their views and experiences with staff. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks to people’s safety. People’s care records contained detailed information about their needs and how to keep them safe. People were involved in assessments of their needs. Staff reviewed assessments taking account of people’s communication, health and support needs. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to undertake their duties. People received care at times that were convenient to them. People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff treated them as individuals and supported their preferences. There was a comprehensive governance system in place to review and improve the quality of care provision. Staff and leaders were committed to continuous improvement and took pride in their work.
