Independence, choice and control
People told us staff were kind, caring and compassionate. The comments included “The staff are all lovely” and, “The staff look after me well.”
Staff were able to explain how they respected people’s choice and how they promoted their dignity and privacy. Staff were very knowledgeable and demonstrated kindness in their responses.
During our observations we saw lots of kind, caring interactions from staff to people. People were treated with respect and had their privacy and dignity promoted in all care interactions.
The provider had an equality and diversity policy, and we found this was being promoted in the service. Staff were promoting people’s independence through kind, caring interactions. The provider had an effective process in place to seek feedback from people. We reviewed some very positive feedback from relatives of people relating to the care being provided to their family member.
