Rapid Response Secure Care provides patient transport services. During this assessment we looked at patient transport services which was the only service being provided at the location at the time of the assessment.

The location, Rapid Response Secure Care, was rated Good at this assessment. In our assessment we found areas of good practice. Incidents were investigated and improvements made to the service. People were safeguarded from abuse and improper treatment. Vehicles and equipment were well maintained and safe. People’s needs were assessed and staff were focused on providing person-centred care. Staff worked with partners to support people using the service. There was an open culture where staff had confidence in leaders and felt able to raise concerns.

However, recruitment checks were not fully recorded. Patient records were not always complete. Cleaning equipment was not always stored correctly to prevent the spread of infection. Substances hazardous to health were not always stored in line with guidelines.
