Our view of the service
Date of inspection: 28 January to 26 February 2025.
This inspection was carried out in response to concerns we received about the service in relation to staffing and the care and treatment people received.
Aston Home Care is a domiciliary care agency supporting younger adults, older adults and people who maybe living with dementia.
We found concerns relating to insufficient information within people’s care records and lack of required staff training around people’s specific needs. We were not notified of all safeguarding referrals as required and people’s mental capacity assessment documents were not always in place.
The overall rating for the service is requires improvement based on the findings of this inspection. We found the provider to be in breach of regulation in relation to good governance and a breach of regulation in relation to a condition on their registration.
