Our view of the service

We carried out this unannounced on-site assessment on 18 February 2025.

We found the practice had not met all regulations.

The practice were not consistently following an effective recruitment procedure to ensure staff were employed in line with current legislation.

The induction process was not effective, and leaders did not maintain oversight of provision of staff mandatory training.

Complaints were not always dealt with efficiently and were not always recorded.

The practice had ineffective systems to manage risks. In particular, the risks associated with fire, radiation, health and safety and sharps safety.

Improvements were required to the systems to review and investigate incidents and accidents.

Clinical notes were not always recorded in line with recognised guidance.

Infection control procedures were in line with published guidance.

Globe Dental Practice is in Nantwich and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available near the practice.

The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our assessment, there was a total of 8 staff, of which there were 3 dentists, 2 dental nurses, 1 trainee dental nurse, 1 receptionist, and 1 reception manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our assessment, including 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, 1 trainee dental nurse and the reception manager.
