We found this practice was providing safe care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

Safe environments
At the assessment on 13 March 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
Emergency medical equipment was available in line with recognised guidance. We noted that checks of the availability and effectiveness of equipment were now carried out but not always within recommended timeframes. The provider immediately took action to increase the frequency of these checks.
A fire risk assessment was completed which reflected the layout of the building and processes and procedures at the service. Records of ongoing monitoring of the effective operation of fire detection and suppression equipment were now in place.
Assessments were in place for the identification and mitigation of risk associated with sharps injury, lone working and health and safety.
Systems for appropriate and safe handling, storage and dispensing of medicines were in place which followed recognised guidance.
Safe and effective staffing
At the assessment on 13 March 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
Recruitment procedures were updated to reflect recognised guidance. Staff files for newly recruited staff that we reviewed contained all required pre-employment information.
Infection prevention and control
At the assessment on 13 March 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:
Processes for the identification and mitigation of risk from water borne bacteria, including Legionella, where in place and reflected current guidance. An updated risk assessment was produced and monitoring of water temperatures and flushing of seldom used outlets was carried out. We identified scope for improvement in how the monitoring tasks were carried out which the provided immediately addressed.
