Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity and showed compassion. We were told, “The clinic provides a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. This was important to both my wife and young daughter who are usually afraid of visits to the dentist” and “During my most recent visit, the whole experience, including the reception staff, the Dental Practitioner, Dental nurse were all well informed, courteous and did all they could to make me feel at ease”.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous and considerate. We were told, “The dentist and his staff are always extremely professional but with a very friendly attitude. Staff are polite and always book you in when they have the space available for you. The dentist is the best I've ever been to. Very calm, puts you at ease. Explains everything in layman's terms. Doesn't rush you, always does everything at your pace. I've been going over 15 years and I always recommend the practice to everyone”.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. One person said, “One of the standout aspects of this practice is the respect and attentiveness shown to me. The team take the time to listen, answer any of my concerns with patience and ensure my treatment plan is tailored to my needs. They are not only focused on delivering excellent dental care but I have also observed other people being treated with dignity and understanding”.

We were provided with a patient survey which was sent to patients who had undergone minor oral surgery. Surveys were not dated. Respondents provided a positive review of the practice and treatment received.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
