Our view of the service
Aberford Hall is a care home service for up to 42 older people that may require nursing care and support. The home is split over two floors. At the time of this assessment there were 37 people living at this service. The assessment was carried out between 5th and 19th November 2024. People’s care records were reflective of their needs. Staff knew and cared for people well and this was evidenced in the way they interacted with people. The atmosphere in the service was calm and relaxed. Staff spoke positively of the service, their roles and the registered manager. The registered manager was approachable and had good oversight of the running of the service. However, although systems of audit were in place, they were not always effective in driving improvements.
