The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. Staff told us they would always ask for consent and give people a choice. Staff were trained and understood the principles of the mental capacity act 2005 and would always ask for consent before providing care. People told us staff were encouraging and kind, one person said, “They [Staff] always ask if they can help with anything, they are always encouraging me as well to be independent, which is nice.”
