Responsive
We rated responsive as good. The service planned and provided care in a way that met the needs of children and young people. Staff worked to best practice, quality standards and legal requirements, including those on equality and human rights. The service worked well with system partners and stakeholders to develop and improve how children and young people accessed and used healthcare. The service used people’s feedback and other evidence to actively seek to improve access for people more likely to experience barriers or delays in accessing their care. Under 16s attended the children’s only theatre days, young people 16 to 18 could choose if they had their surgery as part of the adult pathway.
