People were always treated with kindness, empathy and compassion and staff respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

Throughout our visits we observed staff treated people with kindness and affection. One relative had written a thank you card to the home. They wrote, “You are all so brilliant and so caring.” One visiting professional told us staff were extremely welcoming and helpful when they visited the home.

People were able to follow their own routines which included occupation and leisure activities. Staff supported people to set goals and achieve them. For example, one person went out to an evening social club. One relative told us, “They understand their needs, likes and dislikes.”
