Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.

People told us care staff treated them with respect, were friendly, listened to their views and ensured they were given individualised support to ensure they received, effective foot care. One person told us, “I can’t cut my nails myself anymore. The service is brilliant, and I’ve never had to make a complaint.”

Staff spoke knowledgably regarding ensuring people were treated equally and fairly and given equal opportunities in regard to their ongoing health needs. A member of staff told us, “I’ve had equality training and we treat everyone equally and ensure they get the appropriate support.” The registered manager told us, “People can access support and care in a way that works for them, promotes equality and removes barriers or delays as well as protecting their rights.”
