The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. Relatives shared positive feedback about how staff supported people in a way that respected their preferences and individuality. A relative told us, “Staff respect [person’s] choice, they leave [person] alone [if they are not receptive to care], staff will try in 10 minutes and see how [person] is, they don’t force [person].”
