Well-led
A quality monitoring system was in place to review all aspects of the service. There was a positive culture at the home. Staff spoke highly of the support they received form the management team. A diverse staff team worked at the home. All staff were supported to ensure they experienced positive outcomes.

Staff felt supported in their roles, they received regular supervision with their line manager. Staff spoke highly of the support they received from the management team. Staff described the registered manager and deputy manager as “amazing” and “brilliant.” One staff member told us, “[Name of registered manager and deputy manager] have done an amazing job, raising standards – it’s a good place to work.”
Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders
A diverse staff team worked at the home. All staff were supported to ensure they experienced positive outcomes. People and relatives told us, “It’s a liberated home, they decorated it for Pride week” and “Staff wore their national costume for a week recently.”
Freedom to speak up
There were processes in place to encourage staff to share concerns and speak up. Staff told us that management staff were approachable and supportive. Staff were confident any concerns they raised would be acted upon.
Workforce equality, diversity and inclusion
A diverse staff team worked at the home. All staff were supported to ensure they experienced positive outcomes. People and relatives told us, “It’s a liberated home, they decorated it for Pride week” and “Staff wore their national costume for a week recently.”
Governance, management and sustainability
A governance system was in place. The provider had clear responsibilities, roles and systems of accountability. They used these to manage and deliver good quality care and support. Audits and checks were carried out on all aspects of the service and action was taken if any shortfalls were identified.
Partnerships and communities
People told us they were supported to access health and social care services. There were links with the local community including the school. Staff explained that following Covid-19, local community organisations had been hesitant to visit and get involved with the home again; however, this was improving. Health and social care professionals told us they were involved in people’s care where required.
Learning, improvement and innovation
There was a system in place to identify and share learning both at location and provider level. Accidents and incidents were monitored so any lessons learned could be shared across all services, so action could be taken to help ensure people acheived positive outcomes.
